A cool old school game is called Baldurs Gate. Or a cool thing is download an emulator called Project 64 and download some N64 games from emuparadise.com. Assassin's Creed 2 is good, although not an rpg. But, it requires a constant Internet connection. Bioshock is also a cool piece of fiction transcribed into first person shooter form. It also requires Internet, but only for activation.
If have Oblvion installed u might be interested in Nehrim. It requires the Oblivion game engine to run, but it's a completely new and independent game of its own. It is also free which is nice.
