Is this processor good enough to play games- AMD Athlon 64 X2 TK-42 1.6GHz, 4GB DDR2, 320GB HDD?

I have Acer Aspire AS5517-5358 Notebook PC - AMD Athlon 64 X2 TK-42 1.6GHz, 4GB DDR2, 320GB HDD.

I would like to play games like dragon age and splinter cell. Games that appear on the console system like ps3 n 360Is this processor good enough to play games- AMD Athlon 64 X2 TK-42 1.6GHz, 4GB DDR2, 320GB HDD?
Yes, that is plenty good.

You should be able to run new games easily as well as old ones.
Not on that laptop, you're not playing games.

Your cpu and memory are adequate. That laptop appears to have integrated graphics, which makes it appropriate for games no more complicated than Sims 3/World of Warcraft. Dragon age %26amp; splinter cell are much more demanding of the graphics, and will stutter at best.

And, sorry, no, you can't upgrade graphics in laptops. You're stuck with whatever you originally bought. Is this processor good enough to play games- AMD Athlon 64 X2 TK-42 1.6GHz, 4GB DDR2, 320GB HDD?
Processor is not that important factor. The GPU is important. And your model has ATi Radeon HD 3200, which is a lowest ATi Radeon graphics chip but is still hell lot better than shitty Intel graphics.

You can run all the latest games in medium settings in 800x600 resolution.

Here is a video of Dragon Age running on ATi HD 3200, your will be running similar:

Settings:

800x600 Resolution

Graphic Detail: Medium

AA: Off

Texture Quality: High

Frame Buffer Effects: On
video card ( the GPU )

that the most important part

i can play pretty much any game right now on my Qosmio x505 laptop ( just finished Battlefield Bad Company 2 )

by my Toshiba A205 with Nvidia Go 7300 chokes on anything but the most simplest of games ( it will not run Splinter Cell very well ) and that's with a dual core intel

my home game rig ( 1st one ) was AMD 64 X2 4400+ anfd it could handle CRYSIS, and others, but it was the GPU ( Nvidia 7950 SLI ) that make it all work, since then the AMD died, i rebuilt with i5 and new mem, and kept the video card.Is this processor good enough to play games- AMD Athlon 64 X2 TK-42 1.6GHz, 4GB DDR2, 320GB HDD?
You have more than enough memory and a reasonably good processor, so yes, you can, and probably very smoothly at that.

My own pc is older with less memory and an older processor and graphics card, but i can still play those games on it without any major hiccups.
Yes, at a slightly lower resolution. The graphics card is the most important.
