Which rogue character should i use in Dragon Age 2?
My team is
Hawke-Mage (elemental magic, force, and healing)
Merrill-mage (rock/lighting magic, spirite, and her special tree)

i know each one has there strengths and weaknesses but i already did a short maybe hour playthrough of Dragon Age 2 with a mage and i enjoy burning people and freezing them but i know some might say different but its hard being a mage on hard difficulty archers can kick your *** very easy and when i put it to normal its too easy i think i need to rethink how i do things with my mage what i do with my mage is i cast fire around a group of enemies and then use my staff to fire bits of magic at them seemed to work for a while

I think if you like your mage you should just keep playing. It's a fun class, though personally I liked rogues a bit more. The story will be different each time you play if you make different choices or give your character a different personality. You can always plan a second run with a rogue if you want to try both classes.

I used Aveline to tank and Fenris as DPS and secondary tank. With these two you can be very flexible about who else you bring. Though Anders is useful on the toughest fights because he is the best healer. To get the most out of the game you shouldn't just use one team setup the entire time.

Are you talking about Varric's Flashback? His first story has a pumped Hawke. But once he starts telling the truth, you begin at level 1 and lose all the abilities. From them on you have to level up to earn the skill.

No, he won't literally move in with you. He always stays in his mansion even after you get back together in act 3.
I'm not sure if your other romances will hurt your chances with him. I think as long as you didn't sleep with any of them you will still be able to reconcile with him in act 3.pittsburgh elder of scrolls

Dragon age 2, changing companions armor?
Okay, i bought the armor in the gem category. I have fenris's and avelines and merrills. When i open up the armor thing and switch to fenris it shows a picture of his normal armor and under that there are three colored blocks and one is empty (i guess that means i dont have the last armor thing) I dont know how to make it so he is wearing the armor i got for him. Best romance in Dragon Age 2?
First off I have NOT finished this game, I only got to the very beginning of act 3(I keep restarting!) I don't mean which person YOU like better, if that were the case I would choose Anders straight off! But which romance is best put together? Which has the most emotion? Which is more real and mostly likely to be like a real life romance? As I said I didn't finish the game and I really like Anders...but I hate how he's...getting odd(like the Justice quest!). Fenris was crazy from the start unlike Anders who is getting there, I didn't even understand his romance! Right after he just walked off it felt like the romance ended!(and I didn't choose the break up or asking if he was breaking up options) Fenris' romance seemed more real to me though(as far as I got anyways). And Also I kinda hate how with Anders he romances you! There is a point in time were you have to options, pretty much set yourself up to sleep with him or be mean and break his heart!(I never do in games what I wouldn't do in real life, and that's break someone heart, I just can't do it!) But when it gets to that option I fall for Anders again! Something about the whole, sweetheart and the fact that he'd go against what he is to protect my Hawke just made me melt! There is no *perfect* relationship in DA2. Except possibly the friendship between Hawke/Aveline and Hawke/Varric. The romances are damaged, as are the love interests. I'll try to take it easy on the spoilers since you are only at the top of Act 3.
I lean towards Fenris, even when playing a M!Hawke. I'm female and generally play female when given the choice, but my favorite DA2 Hero so far has been Male Sarcasm Mage Hawke.
Anders, oddly, tell you everything you need to know about him by Act 2. Most of it he actually tells you by the end of Act 1. He took in a Fade spirit, and it backfired. He has no idea if there are two people in him - one a healer, and the other a violent vengeance demon. He increasingly cannot tell the difference between Justice wanting something and him wanting something and in the end can't tell where one begins or the other ends. He becomes, in short, bug-shagging crazy. I honestly stuck it out with Anders because a) I side with the mages against the cruelty of most of the Templars and b) who he was in Awakenings, and I have some hope that he and Justice can be separated (DLC? DA3?) as Connor was from his desire demon in the Redcliffe quest arc in DAO.
Merrill, I think is also in the same boat as Anders, but on a smaller scale, and not as self-aware of the problem. She will not alter her opinion until the Keeper is proven right. She's a sweet funny character, and it's hard to hate her even when you want to throttle her.
Fenris, if you can put aside his immense hatred of anything mage, is a better romance. He's even enjoyable as a rival-mance, even if you are a mage. Though you can interpret some of his lines differently, if that's the case. At the end of the confrontation with Hadriana, he says bitterly, "What has magic touched that it has not spoiled?" Mage Hawke just looks at him speechless, apparently stung by the remark, and Fenris realizing what that sounded like, looks remorseful for having said it, but storms off anyway. His party banter is extremely bitter stuff - an escaped slave, he's perfectly happy with the idea of enslaving others just because they are mages. Anders may be crazy, but he's a fairly bitter hypocrite.
Anders loses out to Fenris as the best romance for the same reason I wanted to kill Isabela at the end of Act 2. Isabela and Anders are prepared to get what they want at tremendous cost, and their actions will endanger the entire city.Best romance in Dragon Age 2?

First: I am a Mage.
Second: In Act 3 when I have to choose the Mage Side Or Templar Side, I want Fenris to still love me if I pick the Mages. I don't want to have to choose the Templar's and get hated by all the Mages.
The Brother Carter has also joined the Templars since I didn't take him with me to the Deep Roads. I want to keep him alive and not have Meredith kill him :[
So if any of you guys could help out at all I would be grateful.

In Dragon Age 2, where could I find a valuable item (for selling) early in the game?
There's a glitch I'd like to mess with that allows me to sell and resell the same item repeatedly to make a virtually limitless amount of money. Perhaps you know about it already. Anyway, I can do it pretty easily except that the only items I can find to sell so far only sell for very low amounts, which means it takes a very long time to obtain a decent amount of money. The most valuable thing I could find so far only sells for just under 50 silver.
If you could tell me about an item I can obtain pretty early in the game that sells for a decent amount, I'd really appreciate it. I DO NOT have any DLC so any "Black Emporium" items and such aren't available to me.
In case you're wondering how far into the game I am, I just brought Merrill back from Sundermount.
Alternatively, if you know of another way to get a lot of gold easily (without gaining experience), that would be an acceptable answer as well.

I heard there were five in all: Merrill, Isabella, Anders, Sebastian, and Fenris. Has any one gotten far enough to verify that any of these characters are romance interests? As well, who can a female Hawke woo and who can a male Hawke woo? Usually you have two opposite gender picks and one same gender pick, but there are five possible characters (not confirmed). Also, there are 'non-party' romances as well. For instance, in certain quests you will meet characters who do not join your party, but who do offer you a night with them. Zevran from the first game shows up, as an example. ;]

You are correct. Those 5 are it as far as companion love interests. The developer hinted at non-companion love interests, but I haven't found any yet. If you can call it romance. DA:2 took the romance from Origins and simplified it down to ""Will you have sex with me yet?"

Also, there are 'non-party' romances as well. For instance, in certain quests you will meet characters who do not join your party, but who do offer you a night with them. Zevran from the first game shows up, as an example. ;]

You won't satisfy them both, they have opposite opinions about things. Merril is very pro-mage and pro-blood magic, Fenris hates magic and mages. Your best bet is to decide if you personally support mages or the templars and try to make consistent decisions. One or the other will start gaining rivalry points instead of friendship, but this isn't a bad thing. You can still secure the loyalty of a rival and get bonuses. You should try to have all companions maxed out one way or the other by the end of the game.
Your party is fine, it's very damage focused which is a good way to play if you don't have a healer.

Yes, you can bed Fenris, do the breakup scene, then bed Anders or someone else. But not the other way around. I have done the Fenris -%26gt; Anders Act 2 Shuffle a couple times now.

Dragon Age 2: where do i start on this abomination?
no doubt it's a level above most RPG's, but i can't help but feel disgusted by so many of its flaws (compared to Origins, and even the Baldur's Gate series):
- where's the dialogue skill check? the ability to pursuade companions and NPCs is one of the things that make an RPG, well, RPG.
- the relationship between Hawke and Bethany (my playthrough) is severely under developed.
- the whole game Hawke's been traveling with mages, who i presume are safe from Templars coz of their connection with Hawke (even Meredith said so to Anders). SO WHY THE HELL DIDN'T HE MAKE AN EFFORT TO FREE HIS SISTER? or even visit her?
- the romances in Origins felt like romances coz of the extensive interactions. and in the epilogue the relationships and characters are given proper closure, unlike the brief "everyone left the Champion's side except %26lt;romantic interest%26gt;". i want to know what happens to Anders.
- towards the end of the game, Hawke's romance is only given 1 or 2 token scenes, where whatever little interaction you make have no impact on the finale. remember what Origins put us through with Morrigan? ahh.. now THAT'S digital love (no, i'm not single in real life)
- no multi-classing. bring back Arcane Warrior!
- the Friendship system is not rewarding. besides your romantic interest, other companions' max friendship gives you squat.
- the game's default setting should be Nightmare, coz traveling the Kirkwall landscape and its different elevations is a real pain in the a$$.
- everytime someone gets kidnapped, he/she/it ends up in Wounded Coast. so many quests take place in the same location. in all my years of RPG gaming (since Fallout 1) i've never seen such lazy game design for a major title. maybe EA's deadline is to be blamed?
- can't turn the scales of a slain dragon into a bad *** armor.
- ok, so the story's not as epic, but what was Hawke fighting for again? definitely not for his imprisoned sister. ok i remember: a nice big house and cash. this has got to be the weakest %26amp; 'smallest' story i've come across in an RPG.
- even though there are some nice characters like Isabela, Varric, Meredith (yes, i think she's a good villain), none of them holds a candle to Morrigan, Oghren, Alistair, Sten and gang. Merrill is just too unattractive (the way she behaves) and boring to be a romantic interest.
- glad they kept Sandal. but it just sounds like there's something off with the voice acting.
- IMHO, one of RPG gaming's most awe-inspiring moments is in Origins when you discovered Andraste's ashes and its immortal guardian. Origins also had other great moments (drunk Oghren falling to the ground upon clicking; sarcastic Alistair: Yes dear; everything about Morrigan; Leliana's song; the cultists who confused Andraste with a dragon; Oghren and his estranged wife; the power struggle in Orzammar; etc etc). in DA2,... i'll get back to this when i've fully digested my experience.

dragonage 2 does resonate origins fairly well the main issue though is gameplay it has turned into an arcade style rpg
to be honest i just keept clicking on the top right choice for warrior and bottom left for mage i didnt even look at most the cutscenes cuz they were horrible compared to the first
pros/ great gameplay and enuff hidden stuff to keep ya busy
cons charecters seem to lack personal emotions, fights become way way to easy after you reach level 10

How do I defeat Arishok in dragon age 2?
I'm stuck, I tried everything and I can't defeat him. I even play on casual difficulty. By the way, I looked on google and every one says that I should duel him, but I can't. Any tips how to defeat him with my party? I'm a weapon/shield warrior and I have Merrill, Varric and Aveline on my team...How do I defeat Arishok in dragon age 2?
I have dueled him, and fought him with his henchman. Both are tough fights, but the second can be a killer if you don't take control of the battle right from the start. I've never done the full fight without Anders - His AoE, healing and general battle magic come in more than handy. Usually, my team consists of Myself (Rogue or Mage), Anders, Aveline, Varric (or Fenris). If I play Rogue, the last team mate is Varric (Hail of Arrows AoE). and if I play mage, I have my own AoE and Fenris is the last team mate.
There are two ways to force a duel. Both require that you have managed to impress the Arishock in your dealings with him and he addresses you as "Bas Alit'an" - a non-Qunari worthy of respect.
1) Isabela (friendship/rivalry %26gt; 50%) returns during the throneroom confrontation with the Arishok to return his book. He will take the book and attempt to keep Isabela too, which result in him giving you the option to duel for her fate.
2) Fenris is in the party. When Isabela does not return (rivalry/friendship %26lt; %50) the Arishok says "Sry - I hv 2 invade ur city" and Fenris quotes the Qun to the Qunari (win moment!) and insists you be allowed to duel one on one.
Warning - he charges, like Ogres do. you don't want to be in his way when he does. Qunari are weak to freezing and nature damage, and the Arishok is no exception.
***Battle #1 - Arishock and his band of pissed off Qunari: If you can't duel him, it's all good. Just harder. After the warm up fight is over, start the main battle by freezing the action and setting two AoE to go off on either side of the upper staircase. You'll do area damage, but your primary targets are the two Saarebas standing on either side of the upper area. Kill them first, and hard - no exception. They will ruin your day if they are allowed to get to work. In this same pause, set Aveline to grab aggro and start destroying the melee Qunari nearest your mage/s who will be vulnerable. I've never made it through this battle with Anders upright - you need to do as much damage with him as possible before he gets overrun. Get the fourth character heading up the stairs and watch the Saarebas - if they survive the initial AoE assault, finish them. If they don't survive, start wiping out the rest of the Qunari while avoiding the Arishock as much as possible.
Take out the rest of the Qunari and whittle your way down to the Arishok and one or two Qunari and then with whatever characters you have remaining, kite the Arishock around while killing off the last of the Qun. When only the Arishock remains...
***Battle #2 - Fighting the Arishock... Alone! Unless you have ungodly heath and defense, don't stand toe to toe with him. Kite him around the room, and watch for the charge. If he charges, stay out of the way, but at the end of his charge he is stationary for 2-3 seconds where you can jump in, whack him and jump away. If you are dueling him, run a figure 8 pattern around the room columns and he will give you lots of chances to whack him at the end of a charge. If he snap freezes, even better. Avoid hanging around for too long - his impalement attack is wicked. Fighting from a distance as mage is ideal if you have frost or nature magic. You can also fight well as a rogue if you use skills to port directly behind him and do crit damage like Vendetta/Backstab/Assassinate, then Evade out of reach.
He has healing pots, and will use them. I've seen him drop 2 in a battle when his health gets to half or lower.How do I defeat Arishok in dragon age 2?
You need Fenris to duel him. You don't have Fenris, there for you don't have the option to duel him as 1 vs 1. But even the wiki says that fighting all of them is the easiest. Or you could even let them go away.
But if u don't gave the Qun to Arishok, that option is also impossible.
For me it was really easy. =] lol
I think you should have Fenris cause he is two handed. Shield warriors don't deal damage, they only get beaten so others can stay alive. Try to make enemies attack your shield warriors instead by using taunt.
I don't think there is any strategy cause I didn't really seen anything about his move when fighting all together.
But I do know all qunari's are weak to ice magic.
If you really can't beat it, maybe you should start over from the previous save file and buy more potions, enchant your armor with electricity cause qunari mages only deal electricity magics.

I beated the game once and the best tank is probably to upgrade battle synergy.
25% of all damage your party receieves are taken by tanks.
And rally that gives all your party stamina regen. If u upgrade, it gives 400~600 stamina regen.
That's like endless mana and stamina. without using potions.
Also there is Staggered, Disoriented, brittle states u could put enemies into, then use skills that gain bonus damage. It deals like 3~9 times damage.
I use to use shield bash and chain lightning then I deal like 4500 damage to enemies. =]
but It says Arishok is immune to chain lightning. lol

Take out the rest of the Qunari and whittle your way down to the Arishok and one or two Qunari and then with whatever characters you have remaining, kite the Arishock around while killing off the last of the Qun. When only the Arishock remains...
***Battle #2 - Fighting the Arishock... Alone! Unless you have ungodly heath and defense, don't stand toe to toe with him. Kite him around the room, and watch for the charge. If he charges, stay out of the way, but at the end of his charge he is stationary for 2-3 seconds where you can jump in, whack him and jump away. If you are dueling him, run a figure 8 pattern around the room columns and he will give you lots of chances to whack him at the end of a charge. If he snap freezes, even better. Avoid hanging around for too long - his impalement attack is wicked. Fighting from a distance as mage is ideal if you have frost or nature magic. You can also fight well as a rogue if you use skills to port directly behind him and do crit damage like Vendetta/Backstab/Assassinate, then Evade out of reach.

You need Fenris to duel him. You don't have Fenris, there for you don't have the option to duel him as 1 vs 1. But even the wiki says that fighting all of them is the easiest. Or you could even let them go away.
But if u don't gave the Qun to Arishok, that option is also impossible.

I think you should have Fenris cause he is two handed. Shield warriors don't deal damage, they only get beaten so others can stay alive. Try to make enemies attack your shield warriors instead by using taunt.
I don't think there is any strategy cause I didn't really seen anything about his move when fighting all together.
But I do know all qunari's are weak to ice magic.
If you really can't beat it, maybe you should start over from the previous save file and buy more potions, enchant your armor with electricity cause qunari mages only deal electricity magics.
This is Arishok's elemental resistance. It's from dragon age wiki.

I beated the game once and the best tank is probably to upgrade battle synergy.
25% of all damage your party receieves are taken by tanks.
And rally that gives all your party stamina regen. If u upgrade, it gives 400~600 stamina regen.
That's like endless mana and stamina. without using potions.
Also there is Staggered, Disoriented, brittle states u could put enemies into, then use skills that gain bonus damage. It deals like 3~9 times damage.
I use to use shield bash and chain lightning then I deal like 4500 damage to enemies. =]
but It says Arishok is immune to chain lightning. lol

I'm really frustrated because I love the game, but at the same time I am constantly on the watch for bugs. I accidentily slept with Merrill, but blew her off afterwards. I also got the achievement for romance after talking to Isabela right before the final battles. There isn't much you can do about that bug. There have been several bugs based on Isabela's romance and the ending is one of them. I suggest you play the game again if your really worried, I've played it and romanced Isabela in four different saves and I only got though Isabela's romance without a glitch once.

What happens if you take Merrill to 100% rivalry in Dragon Age 2? (spoilers)?

Ok, so it seems - I mean this is only what I've observed - is that most people take the route with Merrill where you say yes to everything she says, romance her and she ends up staying with you.
I've had lengthy discussions on this - it seems to me that if the player, who's the only one who has the ability to change the outcome of this mess, chooses the path where he encourages Merrill to persue her obsession with the Eluvian, never objecting and never saying no, it is definitely bad not only for her clan but ultimately for Merrill herself. It may seem that the player gets what he wants - he or she gets Merrill to his or herself, no more objections from the clan and she is devoted to the player's character. But to me this is actually the worst outcome possible. In real life, no one could say you were really being a friend to Merrill by encouraging her to follow a prolonged demon-forged path that resulted in not only her Keeper but her entire clan getting killed, and end up standing there going on about that the reason it happened was because they wouldn't listen to her. To me, the wrongness of this is implacable. You end up with a dead keeper, a dead clan and an elf who refuses to take responsibility that her actions had anything to do with it, and who looks at you for complete validation for everything she is. It's horribly unhealthy, and something a demon would want to do to someone to shape them into a tool determined to release it.
At first I was so disgusted by this that I thought that Merrill was bad in some way, or crazy - but really I will admit I was wrong. It's you as the player in the game that determines how this goes, but I'm not quite done yet with the end of my first playthrough, and am already wanting to play it differently and am considering pursuing the rivalry path.
So, back to my question - if instead you choose to rival her, which from what I understand is not the same as hatred or antagonism, though many (including me) may have thought so, does this come out better for Merrill in terms of her well being? Meaning, yes, while you may not get her 100% devoted to you, would it be the best thing for her to be in the first place?

I rivaled Merrill. Yes, I thought she was very stupid, but it turns out that she was already compromised when she meets Hawke. She did appear sane, however. It's impossible to hate her though.
Friendship or Rivalry, when you hit 100% of either, a character is completely devoted to your cause. They do not agree with you all the time, but they respect your opinion. Fenris is another case where some of the conversations can appear bitter, and by supporting Anders and mages in general it seems you are flying in the face of everything Fenris hates. But if he's 100% rival, he will still totally back your play in Act 3.
SPOILERS, indeed -
There are things in the game that do not change, no matter what you do, and this is perhaps the only gripe I have that remains about DA2. You will have to kill the Arishok, Anders is going to go all Unabomber on the Chantry and Merrill is going to have to kill the Keeper, who will get possessed in order to save Merrill from the demon in the mirror.
Merrill is under the influence of a Pride demon and is unable to accept that her actions will result in disaster. She thinks she is wise enough, has been careful enough, and won't fall prey to what clearly killed Tamlin.
If you Rival her, you spend the game feeling like you are kicking a puppy. It feels worse if Anders and Fenris are in the party with you and Merrill as they will also jump in and unload on Merrill for her misguided notion that she can come out the winner while dealing with demons.
If you are in a friendship or rivalry with her, you have an equal chance to avoid violence, or wind up slaughtering every Dalish on the Sundermount after the confrontation with the Pride demon and the Keeper. Even as a rival, I thought what Fenris and Anders said to her after that battle and all the way home to Kirkwall was incredibly harsh. But considering the price paid for playing with the Eluvian, they were not entirely wrong.
For a rivalry, I kept Merrill out of the party for any of Anders personal quests, and once she brings up the mirror, disagree with her every step of the way. When she asks for your help getting the tool, be short and blunt rather than supportive, but go with her. After the task the Keeper gives you is complete, refuse to give the tool to Merrill. Just don't. It royally pisses her off, in that cute Merrill way. When you talk to her in her house later, continue to stand by your earlier decision and she kicks you out of her house, and you find the whole party standing out in the street in the Alienage. I was so surprised by this I laughed pretty hard at the thought of tiny Merrill tossing Hawke, Anders and Fenris out the door. I haven't encountered a break point that causes her to leave the companions entirely.
Later on she will break the mirror, only the difference is that she will tell you that you were right all along.
For a Rival-mance, I still flirted with Merrill during her Questioning Beliefs quests and when giving her the two gifts. The mechanics work the same as most other romances in the game. You just have to dig in about the mirror and blood magic to maintain rivalry and avoid conversations with others she would approve of (Anders, mostly). When you reach a certain point in Act 2, like Fenris she will turn up at your mansion and force the romance issue. I hadn't planned on it, and was surprised by it, considering how harsh my M!Hawke was in conversations, but there she is and you can accept by flirting, or shut her down in the hallway. After the romance scene you can opt to continue it, or kick her (almost literally) out of bed and end it.

If you have been flirting and not begun a romance with anyone else you will be fine. I don't think you can start the romance before the deep roads. It will heat up in act 2. Just make sure to talk to her when the journal tells you to and give her both gifts.

I'm not sure what you mean if she'll stay with the character. The only one that refuses to fight is Anders if you side with the templars. Doesn't really matter though, after that part in the game nothing else can happen with anyone (I'm assuming you're at the end), game over.

Another week, another blog. And this time, we are going to be talking about an Archtype that is very interesting to some people, but especially me. We are of course, going to be talking about.....Ancient gears (I tried to pun the title ). They are one of my most favorite Archtypes, ranking up there close to the Synchrons, and have only gotten better since their initial release in The Lost Millenium. Back then, only Ancient Gear Soldier, Beast, and Golem were released, being absued by then manly Crowler, maybe girly, don't really know. But anyways, they soon gained more and more support by obtaining more power through a Structure deck and a couple of other Booster Packs. Ancient Gear Gadjiltron Dragon was a brute force, who could actually be Special Summoned unlike his stronger counterpart, while Chimera provided greater attack power than Beast. Through their aging, they have grown stronger as a deck, not saying that they are the best, but evolved, yes! Another card that people should be familiar with, Geartown, is one of the bases for many of the Ancient Gear decks floating around today. It not only helps with summoning Golem easier, but gives a free Gadjiltron Dragon, being one of the best Archtype Field Spells in the game, atleast, in my opinion. FYI***This is going to be extensive.
But many have overlooked these antiques. Demise Geartown was a forced to be reckon with, and the Magical Hats/Geartown combo could fil the field with Dragons. They even had a Fusion monster who almost matched the legendary BEUD in Attack power, but unlike the no-effect creature, Ancient Gear Golem]Ultimate Ancient Gear Golem[/URL] can not only pierce, but summon an Ancient Gear Golem from the Graveyard, ignoring the conditions (An amazing feat for such a card to pull off; summoning a powerhouse of a monster back from the Grave, who is not suppose to come back that easily). Why though, have they not succeeded in placing higher than Tier 3. Other Archtypes can do it; Lightsworns, Blackwings, Gladiator Beasts. What makes the Ancient Gears so different? Easy, they lack the speed and destructive force. They are old machines trying to fit in a new world. In other words, they have not hit the Industrialization Era yet. Ancient Gears can outpower many creatures played in the game today, such as Dark Armed Dragon, Archlord Kristya, Blackwing Synchros, and they can even tie with Judgment Dragon. At times, they can swarm a field with 2, maybe 3 creatures if they are lucky, and deal massive amounts of damage with a Limiter Removal, potentially depleting the entire 8000 Lifepoints to 0000. However, they can not move quick enough to keep with the Special Summoning abilities, nor deck thinning ways of Zombies, Lightsworn, and Blackwings. Now how are we going to address this problem, so that in the future, they may stand a chance?
One theory is to boost their Special Summoning powers. You can try to Special Summon Gadjiltron Dragons up the way with the regular Magical Hats/Geartown combo, which I remind you, has not had a major impact on anything, or you can try to fit in a Cyber Dragon, The Trickys, Giant Rats, Jester Confits, and other cards to try and get enough monsters out to call a win. Hwever, based on what I know and what I have seen, this method is not going to work, at the present time. But, in time, more cards are going to be released, as well as the Machina Mayhem Structure deck. Machina Gearframe, Fortress, and Soldier will all be coming out of it (Not to mention Soldier reminds me of Ancient Gear Knight, and Machina Sniper looks like Ancient Gear Soldier, they are the "newer" versions per se). And the reason that I mention these cards is because they work fantastically with the Ancient Gears. Machina Fortress provides a security block when he is destroyed, but, this is not his interesting part. He is Special Summonable from the HAND or GRAVEYARD by discarding Monster(s) whose total levels equal 8 or more. What do the 2 big power houses of Ancient Gears have in common besides looking cool, they are both level 8. Which, by the way, will also give new meaning to Ancient Gear Workshop and Trade-In. Finally, a card that will be able to use up those dead Golems, and Graveyard wanted Gadjiltron Dragon (Gadjiltron Dragon works great in the Graveyard as he can be SS from it by abusing Geartown.) for an advantage. Machina Fortress is going to be highly observed coming up. However, what if the deck fails to provide you with any Ancient Gear cards to use his effect? Other decks can provide cards to work with others easily, and one of those cards here is Machina Soldier, counting in that Machina Fortress is in your hand and your field isYuGiOh! Ancient Gears becoming Tier 1?!?
I am afraid that Ancient Gears will not become Tier 1, I do like them but they sort of suck against Lightsworn, Glads, and Blackwings.
The new Tier 1 decks will actually be new decks, such as Spider or Reptilianne. And if there was a machine deck to become Top Tier then it would be Cyber Dragon.YuGiOh! Ancient Gears becoming Tier 1?!?

At times, they can swarm a field with 2, maybe 3 creatures if they are lucky, and deal massive amounts of damage with a Limiter Removal, potentially depleting the entire 8000 Lifepoints to 0000. However, they can not move quick enough to keep with the Special Summoning abilities, nor deck thinning ways of Zombies, Lightsworn, and Blackwings. Now how are we going to address this problem, so that in the future, they may stand a chance?
One theory is to boost their Special Summoning powers. You can try to Special Summon Gadjiltron Dragons up the way with the regular Magical Hats/Geartown combo, which I remind you, has not had a major impact on anything, or you can try to fit in a Cyber Dragon, The Trickys, Giant Rats, Jester Confits, and other cards to try and get enough monsters out to call a win. Hwever, based on what I know and what I have seen, this method is not going to work, at the present time. But, in time, more cards are going to be released, as well as the Machina Mayhem Structure deck. Machina Gearframe, Fortress, and Soldier will all be coming out of it (Not to mention Soldier reminds me of Ancient Gear Knight, and Machina Sniper looks like Ancient Gear Soldier, they are the "newer" versions per se). And the reason that I mention these cards is because they work fantastically with the Ancient Gears. Machina Fortress provides a security block when he is destroyed, but, this is not his interesting part. He is Special Summonable from the HAND or GRAVEYARD by discarding Monster(s) whose total levels equal 8 or more. What do the 2 big power houses of Ancient Gears have in common besides looking cool, they are both level 8. Which, by the way, will also give new meaning to Ancient Gear Workshop and Trade-In. Finally, a card that will be able to use up those dead Golems, and Graveyard wanted Gadjiltron Dragon (Gadjiltron Dragon works great in the Graveyard as he can be SS from it by abusing Geartown.) for an advantage. Machina Fortress is going to be highly observed coming up. However, what if the deck fails to provide you with any Ancient Gear cards to use his effect? Other decks can provide cards to work with others easily, and one of those cards here is Machina Soldier, counting in that Machina Fortress is in your hand and your field isYuGiOh! Ancient Gears becoming Tier 1?!?
I am afraid that Ancient Gears will not become Tier 1, I do like them but they sort of suck against Lightsworn, Glads, and Blackwings.
The new Tier 1 decks will actually be new decks, such as Spider or Reptilianne. And if there was a machine deck to become Top Tier then it would be Cyber Dragon.YuGiOh! Ancient Gears becoming Tier 1?!?

I've been looking for ages for a good game to play online that's 1: free 2:rated T or E 3: has mounts that last for more than an hr or day I want a permanent mount that doesn't cost real money or is really rare to find or like you have to be LVL 40 or 100 to get i mean i don't care as long as its not like impossible to lvl and it would be cool if the mount fought too i like pets too in a game and good graphics not Animated cartoons and good character create.

My favorites are Bleach, Naruto, and Full Metal Alchemist. They are all really good so it's hard to choose which one is the best.

Best OVA - Giant Robo, Battle Angel Alita %26amp; Gantz (agree with the earlier poster 鈥?Gantz is great)
I won't suggest Bleach as its ongoing so who knows how it may be viewed once its finished. The same applies for Naruto therefore but I think its way overated (the amount of times I'd wait all week to download and then the episode would only have 8 mins of original content - the rest flashbacks)

HOW'S THIS FOR A PLOT LINE! (Warning: May and DOES contain elements of HIGH FANTASY.)?
Now, I want you to switch your mind off for a moment. Is it off yet? Try really really hard- I want you to forget that everything that you know as 'normal' and 'obvious' and reboot your mind to the following:
1)PLOT
The time is 2009 .e. this time. The place is here. Nothing about the world has changed at the onset of this story.
Everything is as it should be.
Now here comes the clincher (non-fantasy fanatics, leave now...still here? Well, if you've watched fantasy masterpieces e.g. ff VI: Advent's children and The Matrix and liked/loved them, then it's o.k.. You can stay. Just don't say I didn't warn you!) there exists a back-up reality to the one we are currently in.
Think of it in terms of the new improved version, kinda like Vista to windows 98-if you catch my drift-
Its purpose is to replace this reality once it deems the current reality 'outdated'.
A couple of centuries ago, this period in time came and it attempted to take over. However, the current reality resisted the action and managed to triumph over its replacement. reality version 1.2 was then left in a weakened state where its influence on matters is only mild at best.
Its effect is evidenced in the numerous fantastical stories rampant, yet unproved during that age and time; vampires, mermaids, Atlantis, dragons, Excalibur, mythical lands occupied by fantastical peoples, legendary heroes who would win entire wars and vanquish epic enemies all on their lonesome. You know the type.
However the stories remained largely unproved because of its weak and suppressed nature. This is not to say;however, that these do not exist, but that there influence and existence is limited and highly suppressed.
It then decides on a different more unorthodox route...
It decides to concentrate whatever influence it has left into 7 randomly selected humans whom it deems most compatible-that is via its own twisted criteria-to its ideals and its power to act as its unwitting agents and hasten its ascension to power.
By doing so, it effectively converts this individuals into wild cards, governed by none of the rules applicable to either side of reality as they have elements of both in them.
It does this partly to limit the current reality's hold on them and theirs, and partly out of amused curiosity to see what becomes of a being once released from all the rules (seeing as it too has rules by which it must abide-although they remain largely unknown through out the series-)
The story revolves around the individual tales of these unique people who are suddenly thrust into a world unlike any other-imagined or otherwise...made deeper by the morality of what it is they are supposed to bring about and the consequences involved.
Will they destroy everything they care about by bring about such a radically new era? Is it right? Why should they even care? What happens if they take no sides? Will the universe collapse inwards or the world still keep on turning?

Dude... it's okay... but it's a lot like the Matrix. You really shouldn't post ideas on here though. Show it to friends AND enemies (well, people who aren't your friends who won't steal your idea) and see what they think. The internet is NOT a safe place.
It sounds like the stock alternate worlds story with some pseudo-matrix BS grafted onto to it. To me it sounds like babble form the start of a video game, where you'd ignore it and move on. Trying to graft on the matrix computer jargon or the concept that the world as it exists is merely a simulation seems rather at odds with the planned "magic" beings.
I've seen the general alternate magical realm bit before, yours seems weaker for a number of reasons. If it was only a "few centuries ago", why do all the tales of those beings date to much earlier times than that, with the number of such stories becoming smaller dramatically the last five centuries, rather than stronger as your theory would suggest? I've seen it worked the other way a number of times. Where from a shared past, two worlds come into being, one which is ours, the other which contains the old magic made real. Often there is a "quantum physics" explanation for this alternate world. Take roger Zelazny's Changeling stories. One world becomes scientific, the other magical. Sometimes it is given a magical explanation, the Sidhe withdrawing into their hills type of explanation. Faerie folk, awaiting a change of events in Avalon, Tir Na Nog, Olympus, etc...
I think your idea would be stronger for not attempting to use computer terms, grafting the matrix to it. If you are going with the idea of all existence as merely a simulation, better to not hold on too tight to this time scale, as the time could also be simulated, etc.. You could really expand the walls, if you went with the idea of the world-as-code. Take something like Jack Chalker's Soul Rider series, which plays with that idea, while combining it with Philip Farmer's pocket universe ideas from his World of Tiers series. If you are going to hold onto the one magical one non-magical worlds part, then skip the computerese.
Beyond that problem the rest sounds fairly workable, the general plot sounds Ok, even if the general idea of the dual worlds isn't the most novel. Plenty of good fantasy books have already trod the ground, so keep in mind you have stiff competition. The idea of a "spirit world" connected to the real world is a wide spread one in various myths, so it isn't as if you're stealing it from a single author.
Oh and to all the chuckleheads that are so paranoid about someone ripping off your ideas. I've yet to see one new idea on here, you're paranoids who are just ignorant of the breadth of the literature which you're claimming to be writing. Quite frankly, I've seen more original fantasy worlds churnned out by a single 14 year old dungeonmaster in six months, than i've seen here in a year.

Questions about Dragon Ball?
1. Why did Yamcha stop using his "Wolf Fang Fist"? It seemed to be his most effective technique, and certainly didn't get killed so much when he used it. Seriously, once Dragonball Z started, he no longer used that technique, and it seemed like every time he joined a battle, he was the first to die.
2. All of Goku's allies used to be his enemies....mostly....why? Krillin was his rival, Yamcha was his enemy, Tien was his enemy...this continues in DBZ. Vegeta became an ally, Piccolo became an ally....weird. Heck, even Buu became an ally by the time everything was over! Goku must be an extremely likeable guy.
3. Who was Chichi's mother? Seriously.
4. If Jackie Chun blew up the moon in Dragonball, how did Piccolo blow it up in Dragonball Z?
5. What exactly is Pilaf the emperor of?
6. Is Haski related to Lunch?
7. If Saiyans cannot breathe in space(heavily stressed in the Frieza battle), how is it that Vegeta and Nappa blew up Arlia from outside of their spaceships? Also, Bardock seemed to handle space just fine when he flew up to Frieza's ship to try to kill him.
8. Did Trunks, Goten, Bra, and Pan have tails when they were born? This question corresponds with the next one.
9. Was there a cut-off age when a Saiyan's tail stopped growing back? Goku had his tail snipped off at least twice, if not three times. Same with Gohan. Was there just a point in their lives that if the tail was severed, it stopped growing back? I mean, Vegeta's didn't. The reason this question relates to the last is that I have a theory that perhaps Trunks and Goten at the very least were born with tails and had them immediately removed until the age where it stops growing. Dragonball Z seems to pick up after the "cut-off" age for them both. I don't know about Bra. Pan I can understand not having a tail because she was only a 1/4 Saiyan.
10. Just what the heck was Mr. Popo? Was it ever established what race or whatever he was? And while we're on the subject, what race was Tien? Was he a human with 3 eyes? In most of the episodes I have seen, it is stated that Krillin is the strongest human, but I know Tien is stronger, so what is he? Update: I read that Tien was, indeed, a human. He had a third eye, supposedly, because he had become so enlightened with his meditation and all that he actually manifested his third eye chakra as a physical eye in his forehead. That still doesn't answer why Krillin is considered the strongest human, unless that is something that is exclusive to the dub.
11. Why does the English dub make Frieza and his father act like they are gay? And why does King Cold come across as a know-it-all abusive kind of dad, like he thinks his son is a moron? That is not the way either character is in the Japanese version. Time to hire a new script writer, Funimation. I'd be happy to step up!
12. In GT, why did Pan have her own personalized spacesuit on the ship if Goten was the one who was supposed to go into space with Goku and Trunks? Did Pan somehow fit a spacesuit into that backpack of hers?

14. Why is it that in Dragonball, it is a different scientist than the one in Dragonball Z that creates androids? In DB, I believe it is Dr. Flappe, in DBZ it is Dr. Gero. How many android creating scientists does the Red Ribbon Army need?
15. In Future Trunks's timeline, Goku dies of a heart virus. Why did no one worry that this heart disease may be passed down to Goten, Gohan, or even Pan?
16. Future Trunks killed Frieza in his mechanical form, however he never shows up that way again. During the Buu saga and Super 17 saga, Frieza appears as he was before he was killed by Goku, never as the version Trunks did in. I don't think you get to pick your form when you die, so what is up with that?
17. Speaking of Frieza, why does he get to keep his body in hell? Why do any of the bad guys get to keep their bodies? Isn't it said that only people like Goku or the Z fighters get to keep their bodies when they die?
18. From what you gather at the end of DBZ and into GT, 18 and Krillin never saw 17 again. Why is this? 17 and 18 were twins and very close, so why would she not try to find her brother and at least let him know his own niece? Maybe if she had paid better attention to him, it would have been harder for Dr. Mu and Dr. Gero to gain control of him.

Alienware m15x spec check?
ok so im thinking of buying this computer. i no its alot of money but iv heard nothing but good about it. the set up its at now will be about the most im willing to pay so if this doesnt cut the cake in some place, tell me were i could cut to keep the price about 1400. so heres what i have, keeping in mind im not the smartest computer guy ever =)

Looks great apart from the i3 which will bottle neck your super awesome 5850, you should consider the i7 CPU's even the cheaper version (1.6ghz-2.8ghz overclock) which is much better. If you cant squeeze to that go with the i5 that runs at 2.53ghz, don't get the i3.
Also if you get the i7 your RAM will run at 1333 which is faster than what you will run with the i3.
I know it will cost more but i dont want to see you disapointed.
If you do decide to buy the i7 remember to add this command to the wow config found in the WTF folder "SET processAffinityMask "85" so it runs on all cores making the game run faster.
