Nvidia Kernel error 260.99?

Hi,

A couple of days ago my PC started messing up whilst playing Dragon Age, I was on my third playthrough and hadn't had any issues before that.

Basically the screen started to bug out with various black and white bricks and glitching and screen tearing etc.

The game crashed eventually and went back to my desktop, I got a message flashing up in the corner saying "Nvidia Kernel driver 260.99 has encountered an error but has now recovered" the screen kept refreshing itself but I was still getting glitching.

Basically I need to know if anyone has heard about this issue and knows what to do?

All drivers are fully updated.

My specs are

i7 processor @ 2.93ghz.

8gb ram.

Nvidia GTX 470 graphics card.

700w PSU.

Basically top of the line for a decent price, less than three months old and I'm getting this issue with it.

Any help would be appreciatedNvidia Kernel error 260.99?
Okay it sounds like you have a cooling prob. Go to walmart and buy some air duster. Open up your pc blow out the vid card and re seat it. And you might want to re seat the ram too. Oh and reset your bios by taking out the little battery on the motherboard. And dont forget to unhook everything from the back first make sure that you put everything the way it was. Maybe you need to reset your resolution and color settings to default. Try all that manNvidia Kernel error 260.99?
That Error code is a memory issue and as it's happening when you are using graphics it sounds like your graphics memory. You are not on your own with that fault. Otherwise quite a good spec system and card.Nvidia Kernel error 260.99?
The latest driver is 266.58 released nearly a month ago - so yours is not up to date

Upgrade to the latest (64 bit) driver - from the link below
