Which one: PS3 160GB or 320GB?

I've asked a few questions as to whether or not I should get a PS3 or an Xbox 360, and I decided to go with the PS3.

However, I'm wondering which version of the PS3 I should get. The console would be a family device, but we would not be using it to buy or watch movies whatsoever, merely for gaming. That's why I was wondering which hard drive space we should go with.

Would 160 definitely be enough for us (we will be using it casually, not daily), but once we get the PS3 immediately we would be purchasing the following games:

Batman Arkham Asylum

Dragon Age:Origins Ultimate Edition

Grand Theft Auto 4

And eventually we'll be purchasing Uncharted 3, Arkham City, Potral 2 and Skyrim.

So that's to start, and with these games, will the 160GB run smoothly? Or should we just opt for the 320GB for the smoothest gameplay?

Also, how much space do these games take up (with all downloadable content from Arkham City and maybe other DLCs) (also, how much space do games for PS3 take up typically)?

Thanks to all that answer, I really appreciate it :)Which one: PS3 160GB or 320GB?
Up to 10 games the 160Gb is enough, but when your games increase more than that then the 320Gb is a must...

Seems like you would be getting the uncharted 3 any way, so I would recommend you to go for the uncharted 3 bundle which would give you uncharted 3 DVD+ 320Gb of space and a painted casing, here you would be able to find a good review on Ps3 uncharted bundle that would help you out in making this decision:

And here is the cheapest price for this console, I would never recommend you to go for the 160Gb as the 320Gb bundle is just a few bucks ahead:

160GB is more than enough for casual gaming. I have that model and I have played over 40 games on my ps3, I also have music, pictures, and movies, and I still have 40 gb of space left. So you don't need to worry about running out of space.

games usually need anywhere from 1-4 Gb.Which one: PS3 160GB or 320GB?
Mainly it your choice, if you want a good running PS3 thats cheap, go with 160 gb. If you don't care of the price and want more fun, I'd rather go with 320 gb. If you really want a cheap PS3 but you don't like the 160 gb, you can get the 320 gb online because 320 gb ps3's that are online have really good deals.
160 is enough 320 is mainly for people who buy alot of different games like over 40 games theres really no point of getting a 320 i have a 60 gb and i have like 20 gamesWhich one: PS3 160GB or 320GB?
160gb is right for you.
My 160GB PS3 has been running fine for the 3 months since I bought it, including Arkham City with all DLC, Skyrim + several patches, a few other games, a bunch of full game downloads from the PSN store and a load of PSP games. I've not checked for a while but it still had 100GB free space and at least 20GB of the other 60GB was just used by games I downloaded. I also have loads of on-demand TV players and streaming video programs and I'm guessing they use up lots of HD space too.

One of the great things about the PS3 is that you can put any cheap hard drive into it with no problems (the X360 only accepts approved hard drives), so even if you do use up all the space it's not *that* big a deal to replace it as long as you can backup all your data onto a network source.

If you're planning to buy and download lots of games from PSN then the 320GB would probably be the better choice. If you're happy to buy games from the store on disc then 160GB will be fine.
I would say go for the smallest hard drive ps3 and then just get a bigger hard drive and put it into the ps3 later I have friends who have 640 gigabyte ps3's because I had a 80 gigabyte ps3 and it's already full after a few months, but to answer your question I think that you should go for the 160 gigabyte ps3 because all you will be doing is playing games, if you were watching movies or saving videos you might need the bigger 1 but because you're not I would say go with a smaller 1 and hard drive size does not really mean that it will run smoother it just means that it will have more space to store stuff and the size of a ps3 game depends on which 1, uncharted takes about 3 gigabytes while rage takes between 6 and 8 gigabytes, and these are huge games but unless you're going through about 30 or 40 games it is unlikely that you will ever fill it up,
