The PS3 is a better console, full stop. The only thing the 360 has going for it, is the on-line gaming element. The 360 is 2 years older, and so 2 years more out of date than the PS3, every aspect of the PS3 is better, faster, smoother. The build quality is better, and so on and so on. So unless the game has a massive multi player on-line level, go with the PS3.Dragon Age 360 or ps3?
The PS3 version, its just better, I don't know whyDragon Age 360 or ps3?
I have it for the Xbox 360, and I can say for certain that the game does not look bad by any means. Yes, the textures look smeared, but they are not blurry. Everything is as crisp as can be in 1080p, but the textures just look as though someone took their hand and wiped it across a painting. I guess it could be called blurry, but I would say they look smeared.
The PS3 version has crisper textures, but only because the BluRay disk can hold more than a standard DVD. Other than that, the PS3 suffers from crippling performance issues (or so I read). Meaning that the game will hitch, freeze, stutter, and have pop-in - where objects randomly appear/disappear in the game world.
Besides these two issues - bad textures and performance - the game is identical on both platforms. I would say go for the Xbox 360 version, because not only do you get a free code that unlocks a level and party character, you get another code that unlocks a fantastic set of armor for both Dragon Age: Origins and the upcoming Mass Effect 2, an Xbox 360 exclusive.
Oh, and by the way, the Xbox 360 is only 1 year older than the PS3 (2005 and 2006). The processors inside both are just about evenly matched, so other than the textures, Dragon Age: Origins will look almost identical on both consoles.
The final choice is yours, but I would suggest going for the Xbox 360 version, mainly for the extra Mass Effect 2 armor set. If you don't care about that game, then by all means get the PS3 version.
If nothing else I would get the ps3 version because I like the controller better and it runs quiet vs the louder 360
