Dragon Age Origins PS3?

I'm planning on getting a new game for the PS3 and i do not want Bayonetta or Darksiders so i'm planning on getting Dragon Age but like i know it is an rpg but how does it work on the console? Is there multiplayer or something and how does the battle system work?Dragon Age Origins PS3?
There's no multiplayer on Dragon age, it's entirely offline. The battle system is really cool - your party consists of your main character and three supporting characters, which you get to choose. For these characters you can assign roles and pre-selected attack patterns...basically if you want to make one character a healer, you could make it so that anytime one of your party members drops below 50% health, they use heal. Anytime someone dies, they automatically resurrect them. Same thing for attack characters. It's very similar to the Gambit system used in Final Fantasy XII, if you've played that.

Alternatively, if you like controlling everything yourself, you can pause the game at any time and switch from character to character telling them what skill/item to use. So you can basically set up your entire party to fight for you based on pre-selected command lists, or you can control the entire battlefield yourself. It's pretty awesome.
