Is PC gaming worth it?

So, I have sort of a dilemma here. I play games all the time, I love 'em. I will never stop playing. But, I grew up on consoles, and recently started PC gaming. What I love about console games, apart from the gaming itself, is the fact that if I don't like a game, or beat it, or for some other reason that I do not want it anymore, I can turn around and trade it in or sell it on Ebay or something. One thing I noticed about PC games though, is that 95% of the time, you can't do this. Most stores won't take used PC games, since the majority of them use registration codes and cd keys. Now, for whatever this reason is, whether to prevent pirating copies, or to link a game account to a specific code, it makes it almost impossible to have any resale value, as far as I know anyway. My dilemma is this: I have a craptop that can run some older games, and I found a really good gaming laptop on

Newegg.com for $1,099. I really want this computer, so I am saving up for it. Is it worth it? The games I want to try are Left 4 dead, Crysis, Dragon Age: Origins, and maybe a few new mmo's. But some of these are also on the 360 and ps3. I had a 360 that red ringed on me, and now have a PS3, which i love. But i love the convenience of a laptop. Now, I know I want to play these, but should i just get a 360 to play them, or would it be worth it to get the laptop? Are there any pros or cons to PC gaming besides this point? any info or suggestions are welcome. ThanksIs PC gaming worth it?
It really is up to you. My 360 red ringed on me about 3 years ago, and I never got that piece of **** fixed. I have a ps3, but I barely touch it. I upgraded my PC pretty much immediately after my 360 red ringed, ever since then I pretty much do all my gaming on my PC.

The great thing about PC games is their customizability, pretty much every single PC you get can be tweaked to fit your tastes. Many games on PC have mod communities which pump out original content to add to your games to give you more to do with them. Such as Oblivion, and Half Life 2. They have active mod communities which have created many new maps for you to play on, and all for free.

Left 4 Dead and Dragon Age: Origins are much better on the PC, of course. L4D you get the obvious greatness of playing with a mouse and keyboard, and every single map which is released for it is free. Official or otherwise. I made the mistake of buying Dragon Age: Origins on ps3, and I regret it. Dragon Age is a great game but it plays like **** on a console. Framerate drops all the time, the radial menu is a disgrace, and there's less options to apply to the game. In general, most western RPG's are pretty much designed for PC's. Such as Fallout 3, Oblivion, Dragon Age, and Mass Effect. They come with all sorts of complexities and thanks to the many many many buttons on a keyboard, gameplay on them flows alot better. They'll look better, play smoother, and have way more content to bring to you for free. What's not to like?

When it comes to multiplayer games. Consoles are absolutely no match against the PC. Every multiplayer game brings with it mod communities, which brings alot more maps. And dedicated servers makes playing games online virtually lag free, all the time.

No you can't return most games you buy on PC, I'm afraid that it's something you'll just have to get over.

But again, it really boils down to personal taste. Some people just don't like playing with a mouse and keyboard (If thats the case, alot games nowadays can be played with gamepads. Namely the 360 controller.) and etc. Personally speaking, I'm glad I upgraded my PC. I'm probably never going back to consoles besides for the exclusive games.

Dosent really matter just playIs PC gaming worth it?
Do not get a laptop for gaming unless required. I have x4 processor desktop with a ATI radeon HD 4670 ($150) that can run MW2 Highest x2/x4 anti aliasing.

Is pretty decent i would go for one that has a 1GB DDR3 GPU or higher.

Also Pc gaming is more accurate, communities are more active, games can have better graphics, and PC gaming will not die out when a new computer is released. like a new Xbox or Playstation.
